memories in the rain.

About five or six years ago I was with my aunts and cousins at the park when two lady’s and their children came up and started talking to us. so we started a conversation and the one lady, Mary, was playing around with us children and I immediately liked her. To make a long story short, we started writing back and forth, I always looked forward to getting her letters because they were so interesting and had a bunch of bright stickers, which my young mind liked.:)
Two years ago, I was SO excited that she was coming out to Arthur to see us; we had a most marvelous time! About a week ago, she called us again and wanted to come out to see us! Naturally, I was happy to see her and her daughter Allison again.
She arrived around 3:00 so we started the wonderful afternoon by picking up our milk at a local farm:) then drove over to our Grandpa’s to pick up my aunt Rosemary, cousin Lisa and my grandma. We cruised over to the local farmers market, Shady Crest, and then on over to the health food store where we bought some yummy goats milk cheese. Mary told us it tastes a lot like a Mexican cheese and Allison absolutely loved it! We went back to grandpas so  They also taught Mary how to make Amish peanut butter, which turned out to be absolutely delicious!
We drove to our coffee shop expecting to eat supper when it started dumping barrels of rain and the electricity flicked off. We waited for about 45 minutes but it did not turn back on, so scrambled back to grandmas and she quickly whipped together green beans and noodles, we also had bread, Amish PB and Cheese. We made so many memories yesterday I don’t think I’ll forget for a long time!

-Tiffany-

She wanted me to get a few pictures for her since she is going to OBSESS camp, and wow, we had a great time. J I had no idea Mattoon had an old postal building that is absolutely amazing and just on down the block from that is an old church that had incredible nooks and crannies. And to complete the great evening when we finished the shoot, right at 8 o’clock, someone started playing the organ at the church, it’s awesome they still do that!

She loves sewing and playing piano(and is great at it I might add).

She is the happiest when she's traveling and hanging out with friends.

Her favorite places to shop is resale shops like http://karenskloset.com/ and the Mall =)

Her dream job is working with children, like maybe an orphanage somewhere.

.

I know...she is so lovely:)

I was SO happy when we found this red door! Ahhh...love :)

Hey, thank you Tiffany for letting me do your photo's, oh and thanks for the taco too!<3

Ramblings and Such.

If you noticed, and you more than likely did, when I first started my blog I wrote minuscule things to go along with my photos. It was mainly just my pictures and a occasional word to prove to you that I’m indeed Human and not some strange fairy, okay maybe I’m strange, but definably not a fairy. I have a perfectly good reason (or excuse whatever you want to call it). It’s not because I hate to or cant write, as a matter of fact, I’m always journaling and writing about things around me. BUT I found it hard for me to put something on the internet for the whole world to read. Finally, I decided that I don’t even get that many views on my blog, if it is, It’s just my friends. So I’m going to TRY to be a little more personal and show you I do actually have a heart J now this post is getting long winded and you, my friend, have better things to do than read my jumbled story. J

Like many of you, I’m not too keen about posts without photos. Even though I like to read it, its does not catch my eyes. so below are a few I took, just for fun, of my adorably stunning cousin, Marita.

Oh and another thing! Be on the lookout for another session I’m doing tomorrow night, and some camping pictures!

Cheers and much love, Lori

Second Shooter::Justin and Kathy's wedding.

The day was perfectly gorgeous and stress-free for me since I was only the second shooter J I did not know Kathy personally since I was not working with her, but I could tell she was a confidant, sweet bride with an adoring groom.

When I found out Kim was a photographer I was SO excited I had no idea there were professional photographers in my area. I took a chance and asked her if she would teach me or let me be a second shooter and she so kindly accepted. She’s so much fun to be around, I’ve learned more from in just two meetings then I have on my own in two years!(I could listen to her all dayJ) Here is a link to her page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Photography-by-Lori/164856087010469#!/pages/Klassic-Photography/236150293065927
