The 50's. {1950's photoshoot}

I’m so superbly happy to be living in a century where the old is the new new. It’s so blessedly awesome, like my dream come true. It makes me gorgeously happy to see a woman walk by (or in a picture) wearing a red poke-a-dot gathered bodice dress, bright red lipstick smeared on her lips, a wide-brim hat, oh and of course, lace gloves pulled perfectly on her hand.(well okay ONLY the woman who can afford the newest fashion wear them. Still I can imagine everyone dresses like that). Alas, I can only drool over magazines & appreciate the moment because by the time I have the money to afford such luxurious dress’s they will be out of style (again). Or at least that’s what my Mom tells me. But I don’t care I will still wear them! I will be known far and wide as the mad woman who can’t wear anything but retro 50’s style dresses. The Andy Griffith show, perfect dresses, red lipstick, high-heels, men where gentlemen, black and white TV, such are the things I love about the fifties. Of course, it was not all good. Like Elvis Presley-he still gives me the heebie-jeebies-,and those ugly poodle skirts but I choose not to dwell on that so I will just pretend the century was perfect.

I was absolutely delighted and humbled that Kim was kind enough to be my model and help me with my outlandish fifties project. She was the perfect and I barely had to do anything, anytime I was ready to tell her to mover herhands or something she had already done it, she was a dream J
oh and most of these where taken on the Eastern Illinois University campus! such a perfect place, thanks Kim for picking it out!

I loved her thoughtful expressions:)

                                      She had a great idea to do this angle.
